About

Jean Toussaint's Grammy-winning quintet headlines a London Jazz Festival night at World Heart Beat Embassy Gardens, opened by the Nnamdi Nnachi-Cole Quartet.

Grammy Award-winning saxophonist Jean Toussaint brings his working band JT5 to the EFG London Jazz Festival, playing original compositions from the group alongside rearranged standards, drawing on his swinging, bluesy and funky roots from his years with Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers. The evening opens with a set from the Nnamdi Nnachi-Cole Quartet, a young London group featuring pianist Nnamdi Nnachi-Cole, drummer Ellis Gates, bassist Hass Richards and alto saxophonist Kassa Green Jaksci. Doors open at 6:30pm with music on stage from 7:30pm.
