About

A philosophy salon in which Jeffrey Howard discusses the ethics and limits of free speech with Julian Baggini and Judith Squires, followed by audience questions.

Philosopher Jeffrey W. Howard, author of Setting Fire to Reason: The Ethics of Free Speech, explores whether free speech has limits and how social media platforms should moderate speech. He is joined in conversation by host Julian Baggini and political theorist Judith Squires, covering the law, morality and boundaries of free expression. The second half is led by audience questions, and the event is suitable for ages 14+.
