2026 Banner Exhibition
About
An annually changing display of historic and contemporary trade union and political banners from the museum's world-leading collection.
People's History Museum presents its 2026 selection of banners from the largest collection of political and trade union banners in the world. The banners on display have featured in historic marches and rallies or highlight people coming together in solidarity, including at times of international crises. Alongside the oldest trade union banner in the world, dating from 1821, in Gallery One, visitors can see banners given as gifts, sent to those on the front line, or used at events as recent as 2025. Gallery Two also offers a view into The Conservation Studio, where specialists care for the collection.
