The Art of Family Life
About
A free exhibition using oral history and audio-visual works to reflect the experiences of refugee communities who have settled in Glasgow.
The Art of Family Life is an exhibition at Listen Gallery, developed with community members over two years, exploring intangible cultural heritage, belonging and listening through oral history, audio-visual works and community gathering. It reflects the creativity, joys and struggles of refugee communities who have settled in Glasgow. Presented as part of the Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival, it is accompanied by a series of events and workshops during the festival period, and is delivered in partnership with the Scottish Oral History Centre at the University of Strathclyde and Listen Gallery, funded by the National Heritage Lottery Fund.
