Hurricane Promotions Presents: Pasadena Roof Orchestra

The Pasadena Roof Orchestra performs nostalgic 1920s and 1930s jazz and swing at the Howard Assembly Room.

The internationally acclaimed Pasadena Roof Orchestra has spent over 50 years re-creating the music of the 1920s and 1930s, from ragtime to early swing. Led by singer and bandleader Duncan Galloway, the evening features romantic 'sweet' melodies by Irving Berlin, Cole Porter and Ray Noble alongside 'hot jazz' rhythms in the style of Fletcher Henderson and Duke Ellington. The performance promises period-authentic instrumentation, brass solos and dry British wit in a celebration of a golden age of music.
