A temporary display brings Henry Raeburn’s rediscovered portrait of Robert Burns together with related letters, prints and objects to tell the painting’s story.

The portrait was missing for more than 200 years before its rediscovery and auction in 2025. This presentation at Robert Burns Birthplace Museum traces its history alongside letters, prints and objects.
