A hands-on sewing workshop at The Making Rooms teaching how to insert a zip and make a neat, washable cushion cover.
This workshop at The Making Rooms teaches participants how to insert a zip and make a cushion cover that is neat, practical and easy to take off and wash. Attendees are guided step by step through measuring and cutting fabric, fitting the zip and finishing the cover for a professional look. Participants can bring their own fabric to make something for their home or use the venue's fabric to practise. The session runs from 11:00 to 13:30 on Sunday 8 November 2026.
