A weekly intermediate-level queer Muay Thai class hosted by Bender Defenders in the Sunroom at Eastway Baths.
Bender Defenders run an intermediate-only Muay Thai session in the Sunroom at Eastway Baths, welcoming queers of all abilities who may not feel at home in mainstream gyms. The hour-long class covers warm-up, introductions, Muay Thai training with strikes, footwork, defence and sparring drills in partner work, fitness games and stretching. Participants bring their own gloves, shinpads and mouthguard, and the organisers emphasise a body-positive, non-competitive approach to fitness. Free spaces are reserved each week for people on a low income, trans women/trans femmes and QTBIPOC attendees.
