Sunshine Symphonies

The Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra performs the second concert in its Beethoven Cycle 'Road to Joy', marking the bicentenary of Beethoven's death. The programme pairs Prokofiev's Symphony No.1 'Classical' and Schumann's Piano Concerto with Beethoven's sunny Symphony No.2, written during his onset of deafness. Mark Wigglesworth conducts, with Boris Giltburg as piano soloist.
