Derby Riverboat Trips

A 45-minute riverboat cruise on the Derwent from Causey Bridge to Darley Abbey and back, with onboard commentary, children's activities and a café.

The Derby Riverboat runs 45-minute cruises departing from a temporary boarding platform next to Causey Bridge, travelling north to Darley Abbey and back. Onboard audio commentary covers the river, its wildlife and Derby's history, alongside activities and challenges for children. Passengers can also relax on the open-air foredeck with views of the Museum of Making, Darley Park and the Derwent Valley, with hot and cold drinks and light refreshments available from the onboard café. Sailings run from May until October, with a maximum of 12 passengers per cruise.
