After School Club: Pottery (8-11 Year Olds)

A six-session after-school pottery course for 8-11 year olds, teaching hand-building and decorating skills to create imaginative clay sculptures.

Silly Sculpture introduces KS2 children to ceramics and three-dimensional making across six sessions. Children transform a simple pinch pot into their own imaginative sculpture, from funny fish and crazy creatures to characters, animals and mythical beasts. They learn practical skills including hand-building, scoring and slipping, joining pieces, creating texture, developing form and structure, and painting and decorating, while thinking about shape, balance and structure.
