Ceramic Sculpture, Experimental Sculpture

An 11-week Thursday afternoon course in experimental ceramic sculpture, open to all levels, taught by Maria Alvarez Enchenique.

This 11-week course explores modelling in clay, drawing inspiration from contemporary sculpture and found objects. Students learn hand-building techniques such as coiling, slab-building, carving and modelling, alongside surface decoration, glazing and an introduction to firing processes. Open to beginners and experienced makers alike, participants work on guided and self-directed projects, producing a final piece or series of works each term with tutor demonstrations and group feedback.
