Getting Started as a Writer

An introductory ArtfulScribe workshop for new writers exploring motivation, first steps and writing prompts in a supportive setting.

ArtfulScribe leads a four-hour introductory session for people curious about writing, covering what motivates new work and questions worth considering before starting out. Participants try straightforward writing prompts and can connect and share with others in a safe, supportive environment, with no obligation to share. No formal qualifications or literacy levels are required, and the organisation can signpost further opportunities. Recommended for ages 16 and over.
