Free Family-friendly Walk to Wittonstall Clough, Cornholme

A free guided 3km family walk from Todmorden Family Hub to Wittonstall Clough, with a scavenger hunt and a visit to Shore Chapel ruins.

Visit Calderdale's Walk Leaders guide a circular 3km (1.86 mile) family adventure around Wittonstall Clough in Cornholme, taking in woodland, streams, fields, farms and valley views. The route includes the ruins of Shore Chapel, a Nature Scavenger Hunt and simple navigation practice for older children. The group meets at Todmorden Family Hub, travels by bus to Cornholme (costs covered), and the walk lasts around three hours with breaks; snacks are provided but attendees bring their own lunch and drink. Best suited to children of walking age, ideally 6+, due to hills, steps and mixed terrain.
