Law, Justice and Protective Services Academy

An after-college mock trials academy session at Nelson and Colne College for Year 10 and 11 students interested in law and justice careers.

This after-college academy session invites Year 10 and Year 11 students to experience the legal system through a Mock Trials Academy. Working as part of a legal team, participants examine evidence, question witnesses, present arguments and deliver a verdict in a realistic courtroom setting based on genuine legal scenarios. The interactive session aims to develop critical thinking, communication and teamwork skills valued by universities and employers, and is aimed at those considering careers in law, criminal justice or public services.
