Christmas Green Man Sculpture Pottery Workshop

A full-day pottery workshop with Helen McCormick where participants hand-build and glaze a festive Christmas Green Man sculpture from clay.

Local ceramicist Helen McCormick leads a relaxed, beginner-friendly day at The Walronds in Cullompton. In the morning, participants use traditional hand-building techniques with buff clay to create a Green Man wall plaque decorated with seasonal foliage such as holly, ivy and berries; the afternoon covers applying underglaze colour. Finished pieces are kiln-fired and transparent-glazed off-site, ready for collection from the venue around six weeks later. The seven-hour session includes all materials, tools and refreshments, and is open to ages 14 and up.
