Remembrance Sunday
About
St Bride's annual Remembrance Sunday service begins at 10:50am with a two-minute silence and a liturgical performance of Fauré's Requiem.
St Bride's Church holds its annual Remembrance Sunday service, starting earlier than usual at 10:50am so the traditional two-minute silence can be observed at 11am after the playing of the Last Post. The service includes a liturgical performance of Fauré's Requiem Mass sung by St Bride's Choir and accompanied by the St Bride's Orchestra, opening with the Pie Jesu while commemorative wreaths are laid on the altar steps. The page notes the service lasts approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, and a separate Remembrance Evensong takes place at 5:30pm the same day.
