RSGS: Mark Wedgwood: From Boring to Dull
About
Speaker Mark Wedgwood tells the Royal Scottish Geographical Society about his 4,000-mile cycle home from Oregon's Boring to Dull in Scotland via Iceland.
Mark Wedgwood, a popular returning speaker for the Royal Scottish Geographical Society, recounts how a 2023 trek through the Cascade Range in America's Pacific Northwest led him to cycle home to the UK. Finding himself near Boring, Oregon, he rode to the village of Dull in Scotland, linking two communities paired by their tedious names, and took the route via Iceland. The talk covers a trans-continental adventure of almost 4,000 miles. The talk lasts approximately an hour, with tickets available online or at the door.
