Take Over the City: Spatial Composition in Italian Autonomy, with Neil Gray

Author Neil Gray discusses his book on Italian operaismo and the urban struggles of 1970s Italy at Five Leaves Bookshop.

Neil Gray presents his book Take Over the City, the first systemic spatial account of Italian operaismo (workerism). Drawing on Marxist urban theory, the talk situates the urban struggles of 1970s Italy within global urbanisation and argues that urban struggle must become central to anti-capitalist struggle today. The event should interest those curious about autonomist praxis, radical urban history and social reproduction, and refreshments are provided.
