Mastering the Barbican Podcast Studio (October)
About
A hands-on workshop led by podcast producer Mark covering studio setup, recording and editing skills in the Barbican's podcast suite.
This two-hour session at the Barbican's podcast suite teaches practical workflows for capturing professional audio and video. Led by podcast producer Mark (#LincsLivesNatters), it covers studio environment and composition, microphone and interface use, camera framing for different podcast styles, and handling environmental noise in the final edit. Participants draft a one-minute show introduction and then spend an hour of hands-on studio time recording it with the cameras and microphones. Attendees should bring a smartphone plus a notepad or digital device for the short writing exercise.
