Immersed in Starlight 2: Crossing the Cosmic Ocean
About
An after-dark immersive projection show filling Bristol Museum & Art Gallery with astrophotography of the cosmos, with an introduction from urban astrophotographer Lee Pullen.
Immersed in Starlight 2 projects real images of nebulae, star clusters and galaxies, captured from central Bristol by urban astrophotographer Lee Pullen, onto the museum's stonework after dark. The cosmic vistas unfold with gentle motion, accompanied by an immersive soundscape, and are presented without light pollution or modern interference. Each session includes an introduction from Pullen on the challenges of urban astrophotography and how he fuses art with science. Two sessions run each evening, at 6:30pm and 8:00pm, with a drink available from the on-site bar.
