World of Wine: Alsace, Germany, the UK & Austria
About
A two-hour guided wine tasting exploring aromatic Alsace alongside dry German Riesling and Pinot Noir, an English white and an Austrian Grüner Veltliner.
This evening tasting from West London Wine School is split into two parts. The first focuses on Alsace, tasting Gewürztraminer paired with Munster cheese, grated red pepper and honey. The second looks at modern Germany's dry, mineral-led Riesling, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Noir, plus a dry English white and an Austrian Grüner Veltliner. Each session includes at least six wines, tasting notes and sheets, professional glasses, and a selection of cheese and charcuterie; dietary requirements can be accommodated with 48 hours' notice. The class runs for two hours with doors opening 30 minutes beforehand.
