Home Education Day - Stone Age Survival

A hands-on home education day at Butser Ancient Farm where children learn Stone Age survival skills through four activities, running 10am-3pm.

A one-day home education workshop at Butser Ancient Farm focused on how early Stone Age people survived. Led by a member of the education team, children take part in four 30-minute hands-on activities covering fire lighting, cordage, an archaeological dig and wattle fencing, with time to explore the site's ancient buildings. The session is part of a seven-session year-long programme with a passport stamp scheme, aimed at ages 7-13 but open to all ages.
