Closed Terrarium Workshop

A hands-on workshop at Holden Clough Nurseries where participants plant a self-sustaining closed terrarium in a corked glass bottle.

Emma's Wild Garden hosts a closed terrarium workshop at Holden Clough Nurseries, where participants create their own eco-system within glass. Using moisture-loving plants, moss, natural stones and soil, attendees plant a corked glass bottle, with materials, tools and tuition provided. Closed terrariums are self-sustaining, so no gardening experience is needed and little maintenance is required; plant advice is included. The session is suitable for ages 14+, with doors at 10:55 AM and free parking on site.
