Priaulx Rainier Quanta

A Hallé chamber concert pairing Priaulx Rainier's Quanta with a Beethoven string trio and a world premiere for solo cor anglais by Richard Causton.

Part of the Hallé's chamber series at Hallé St Peter's, this lunchtime concert features works highlighting the oboe and cor anglais. Priaulx Rainier's Quanta draws on her South African childhood, heard alongside Beethoven's stormy String Trio in C minor, Op 9 No 3. The programme also includes a world premiere by Richard Causton for solo cor anglais, written for and performed by Hallé oboist Virginia Shaw, with Katie Jackson (violin), Chris Emerson (viola) and Clare Rowe (cello).
