Chamber Series

A Hallé chamber concert pairing Priaulx Rainier's Quanta with Beethoven's C minor string trio and a world premiere by Richard Causton.

The Hallé's chamber series at Hallé St Peter's brings smaller groups of musicians together for intimate performances. This lunchtime concert features Priaulx Rainier's Quanta, a work drawing on her South African childhood, alongside Beethoven's stormy String Trio in C minor, Op 9 No 3. A new world premiere by Richard Causton for solo cor anglais, written for Hallé oboist Virginia Shaw, completes the programme, with performers including Katie Jackson, Chris Emerson and Clare Rowe.
