Remembrance Sunday
About
Frome's annual Act of Remembrance with a parade, two-minute silence, wreath-laying and music in the Memorial Garden at the Memorial Theatre.
The community gathers for Frome's annual Act of Remembrance, honouring those who lost their lives in conflict and recognising service personnel, families and communities affected by war. The parade and service begin at 10.45am in the Memorial Garden at the Memorial Theatre, with the Last Post sounded by cadets from the Frome Army Cadet Force before a two-minute silence at 11am. Music from Frome Town Band accompanies the service, after which wreaths are laid by the Mayor of Frome, Cllr Mark Dorrington, veterans, community organisations and residents, with a moment for members of the public to come forward and pay their respects.
