Christmas Carol

Theatre by the Lake stages a family-friendly musical adaptation of Dickens' A Christmas Carol with a ghostly twist, performed by actor-musicians.

This festive production reimagines Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol as a haunted Carol service on Christmas Eve, where a spooky choir and the spirits of Christmas race to save the soul of Ebenezer Scrooge, a hard-nosed Victorian businessman from Keswick. His late business partner Jacob Marley returns from the grave to set his redemption in motion. The show features original songs and live music performed by a cast of actor-musicians and is created by Goblin, makers of the theatre's 2023 co-production The Lost Spells.
