People's Emergency Briefing Film Screening

A free community screening of a 50-minute climate and nature briefing film, followed by a post-film discussion in the ground floor community space.

Barnsley Civic hosts a free screening of People's Emergency Briefing, a film documenting a 2025 Westminster briefing in which ten UK experts set out the implications of climate and nature breakdown for health, food systems, national security and the economy. The film combines scientific content with reactions from members of the public, framed around both the threats and the benefits of urgent government action. After the film, attendees can join a post-film discussion in the ground floor community space. Recommended age 16+.
