ASMR Soundscapes with Lou Barnell

Artist and musician Lou Barnell leads a hands-on workshop exploring ASMR — the calming response some people feel when listening closely to quiet, detailed sounds. Participants experiment with how the body responds to different tones and textures, and how touch, vibration and stillness shape listening. They record their own material using specialist microphones and compile it into a personal soundscape, drawing on a library of ASMR-inspired objects built by Site Gallery's youth collective the Society of Explorers or items brought from home. No prior music-making or production experience is needed and all equipment is provided; the workshop suits ages 11+.
