Professional workshop: Creating material from individual voices & writing for a community

A professional workshop exploring acta's method for creating theatre material from individual community voices, open to all to book.

Part of acta's Elevate skills-building programme for socially engaged theatre-makers, this workshop covers the acta method from meeting a community group through to performance. Participants are introduced to past acta projects, watch short films of acta theatre shows evidencing the process, and explore different ways of adapting the approach with different groups. While aimed at theatre practitioners, it is also relevant to writers, storytellers, film-makers and researchers whose work involves gathering community voices.
