About
A guided walking tour through Hampstead exploring its dark history of hangings, highwaymen, murders and fatal accidents, ending at Hampstead Heath Station.
Footprints of London guide Marilyn Greene leads a two-hour walk uncovering the darker side of idyllic Hampstead, from highwaymen and hangings to murders, executions, bombings and fatal accidents. The walk highlights stories including the last two women hanged in Britain, both of whom committed murders in Hampstead. It is based on real historical events rather than being a ghost walk, and concludes at Hampstead Heath Station on the Mildmay Overground line.
