About
A Cornwall Film Festival screening of the 1976 classic Rocky, followed by a discussion on the underdog story at fifty.
The Cornwall Film Festival presents John G. Avildsen's 1976 film Rocky (12A), the Oscar-winning story of an ordinary working-class man seeking the chance to prove himself, running 121 minutes. The screening is followed by 'Rocky at 50: The End of the Underdog?', a discussion exploring how the film redefined the American hero and what underdog stories mean today in Britain and Cornwall. Films start at the advertised time with minimal trailers.
