Over 60s Rhubarb Textile Workshop

A free hands-on textile workshop for over 60s, helping create a giant collaborative banner celebrating Wakefield's rhubarb heritage.

Ruth Agbolade of Upcycle Arts CIC leads a relaxed, hands-on textile workshop for over 60s at WX Wakefield Exchange. Participants contribute to a colourful giant textile banner inspired by Wakefield's rhubarb heritage, exploring different textile techniques along the way. No previous experience is needed and all abilities are welcome. Once complete, the banner will go on display at WX during Rhubarb Festival 2027.
