From Object to Artwork
About
A hands-on Powertex, fabric and mixed media workshop for 12-16 year olds at Wakefield Museum, creating seasonal 3D artworks inspired by objects and local stories.
This workshop invites young people aged 12-16 to experiment with Powertex, fabric and mixed media techniques to build seasonal 3D artworks. Participants will be inspired by objects and local stories, learning how artists use texture, layers and sculpture to tell stories. No experience is needed, and accompanying adults are welcome but not essential. The session takes place in the Learning Zone inside Wakefield Library, on the upper ground floor of Wakefield One, with two sessions running on the same day.
