A free exhibition at Coventry Cathedral celebrating letter carver Ralph Beyer's engraving and his iconic Tablets of the Word.
This exhibition explores the lively character of Ralph Beyer's engraving, best known through Coventry Cathedral's iconic Tablets of the Word. It traces the artist's craft, working life and lasting influence on stone letter carving, culminating in the creation of Coventry's distinctive font. Linocut letterpress workshops accompany the exhibition, beginning on Saturday 12 September and running at various times throughout. Opening hours are 10am–4pm Monday to Saturday and 12.30pm–3pm on Sundays.
