Search for the Whooper Swan

A free guided birdwatching walk at Big Waters Nature Reserve with NHSN Naturalist Matthew Harrison, searching for Whooper Swans and other wintering birds.

NHSN Naturalist Matthew Harrison leads an informal guided walk across Big Waters Nature Reserve in search of wintering birds, including Whooper Swan, Goldeneye, Pink-footed Goose and Redwing. The walk is open to all levels, from complete beginners to advanced birders. Participants should bring optics if possible and suitable clothing; paths are uneven and muddy in places and the site has no public toilets.
