Cornish Knockers

A children’s folklore workshop about the mine spirits known as knockers, followed by making a lantern.

Hear the Cornish mining folklore of the knockers and make a lantern to take home. The two sessions are for participating children aged seven and over; younger siblings may accompany them. Battery tea lights are optional and can be bought separately at the Tourist Information Centre. Led by museum learning volunteers Lizzie and Hollie.
