Festive Gilding Workshop with Amelia Bedson

A festive gilding workshop where participants learn to apply Dutch gold leaf to Christmas ornaments, decorations or walnuts.

Led by professional restorer Amelia Bedson, participants learn the art of laying Dutch gold leaf to gild a large free-standing Christmas ornament plus a hanging decoration, or alternatively real walnuts in the Victorian tradition. The session runs from 11.15am to 3.15pm and finished pieces can be kept as mementoes or given as Christmas gifts.
