Weave a Selection of Willow Decorations (ECC 2806)

A relaxed three-hour willow weaving workshop at Foxburrow Nature Reserve where participants make festive willow decorations with the Coddiwomplers.

Suffolk Wildlife Trust hosts a morning willow weaving session led by the Coddiwomplers, Stuart and Emma, experienced basket makers and forest school practitioners. Participants learn basic willow weaving skills and techniques to make a selection of decorations for the home, suitable for display indoors or outside. The session takes place around the woodburner in the discovery room, lasts three hours, and includes tea and coffee; tools and materials are provided, though attendees should bring a mug. An afternoon session weaving a giant star is available separately for those wishing to continue.
