About

La Polémica perform a lunchtime concert of Afro-Cuban rumba blending percussion, call-and-response song and dance at the Clothworkers Centenary Concert Hall.

Rumba is a secular Afro-Cuban tradition rooted in community and celebration, combining percussion, song and dance. La Polémica brings together some of the UK's leading percussionists and Afro-Cuban specialists to perform congas, cajon and other interlocking rhythms alongside call-and-response singing. This pay-what-you-can lunchtime concert runs from 1:05pm to 1:55pm with doors opening at 12:15pm.
