Where the Earth Holds Secrets, with Eve Makis

An evening at Five Leaves Bookshop celebrating Eve Makis's new novel Where the Earth Holds Secrets, with readings, a Q&A and student readings.

Eve Makis launches her new novel Where the Earth Holds Secrets, a detective story and family saga inspired by missing people in Cyprus and her own family history. She will discuss turning personal experience and historical events into fiction, then join her Claret Press editor Katie Isbester for a Q&A on taking a novel from manuscript to publication. Two Nottingham Trent University students will also read from their own work, in association with the NTU Creative Writing Hub.
