Halloween Happenings at Dalkeith Country Park
About
A Halloween season at Dalkeith Country Park featuring a spooky woodland trail for children and outdoor film screenings across five October evenings.
Dalkeith Country Park hosts a Halloween programme running from 10 October to 1 November 2026. Rangers of the Radiant Realm is a spooky trail for children aged 2 to 12, inspired by the park's historic setting, in which participants follow clues and complete a mission to protect Dalkeith Palace; it is included with a Fort Douglas ticket giving all-day access to the adventure playground. The Coffee Cabin at Fort Douglas serves seasonal drinks and Halloween treats. After dark, The Big Halloween Screen shows Halloween favourites across five evenings on 23, 24, 25, 30 and 31 October, from family classics like Coco, Hocus Pocus and The Nightmare Before Christmas to cult films including Practical Magic, Beetlejuice, The Lost Boys and Scream, with VIP tickets offering deck chair seating and popcorn.
