Sustainable Living Tour
About
A resident-led small group tour of the Hockerton sustainable co-housing project, covering its food, water and renewable energy systems and an earth-sheltered home.
Led by a resident of the Hockerton Housing Project, now in its 22nd year, this small group tour offers a personal view of life in a sustainable co-housing community. The three-hour visit includes a guided walk around the site to learn about the project's food, water and renewable energy systems, a look inside one of the earth-sheltered homes, and a talk on the challenges faced during the build and development of the project. It is aimed at anyone interested in sustainable living, co-housing or self-building; under-18s must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
