Potters Wheel Taster Weds 4th Nov 10.30am

A 90-minute beginners' potters wheel taster class at Eden Tearoom & Galleries where participants make two small pots, for ages 16+.

This 90-minute workshop introduces the basic principles of throwing a small pot on a potters wheel: preparing the clay, centring it and shaping a form. Participants receive two 400g balls of clay to make two pots, with step-by-step instruction and demonstrations from the venue's pottery teacher Christine. Finished pieces are dried, fired and glazed in chosen colours over about two weeks before collection. The session is for ages 16+ only; closed-toe shoes, tied-back hair and clothes that can get clay-covered are advised.
