Utopias Salon

An evening salon with Sophie Bernberg and the London School of Solarpunk mixing a talk on utopian fiction with creative group exercises imagining better futures.

The Utopias Salon, held with the London School of Solarpunk, opens with a mini lecture on the history of utopian, ecotopian and science fiction ideas, drawing on thinkers from Marx to ecosocialism. Attendees then take part in group creative exercises, answering prompts about what their ecotopia would look like and how to get there, before discussing ideas and sharing communities, art and books of interest. Speakers are writer Sophie Bernberg and Oli from the London School of Solarpunk. The event is for ages 18+, with step-free access, and guests can stay afterwards for drinks and snacks at the bar.
