Warm Welcome Spaces
About
The Amelia Scott opens as a free Warm Welcome Space over winter, offering library services, drop-in clubs, trails and community support.
From October to March, The Amelia Scott takes part in the Warm Welcome Spaces initiative, inviting everyone to use the building as a warm, comfortable place to spend time. Visitors can explore local history exhibitions, read, use free library resources such as computers, Wi-Fi and e-books, or join drop-in activities including a Silent Book Club, Knit & Stitch Club and Game Cafe. Support is also available through a Citizens Advice kiosk, carers' and bereavement groups, self-guided mindfulness and family trails, and community initiatives such as foodbank collections and the Mayor's Toy Appeal.
