Anemara

The all-female quartet Anemara blend Scandinavian, Celtic and North American folk traditions on fiddles, harp, cello, step dance and song.

Anemara is a cross-cultural collaboration of four award-winning musicians who met in Glasgow in 2018, merging Scandinavian, Celtic and North American traditional and original material. The quartet's line-up of two fiddles, harp and cello, plus step dancing and singing, creates a rhythmic, textured sound. Their set draws on repertoire including their debut single Atlantic Schottis, and the band has performed at festivals such as Celtic Connections and Urkult.
