Hot Charleston

A solo charleston workshop with beginners and routine-level classes teaching steps and routines to swing-era music.

Hot Charleston is a solo charleston workshop run by Swing Dance Leeds at The Dance Studio Leeds. The beginners session (3.30–4.20pm) requires no dance experience and focuses on basic steps, repetition and dancing to the music, while the routine session (4.30–5.30pm) teaches routines of varying difficulty, from classics like the Shim Sham and Big Apple to new choreography by Rob. Workshops run on selected Saturdays and are open-level adult classes; comfortable clothes and flat shoes are recommended.
