Guided Tree & Seed Walk at Sherwood Forest

A gentle 90-minute guided woodland walk with Sherwood Seedbank to learn about native broadleaf trees and help collect tree seeds.

Join Izzy from the Sherwood Seedbank, Sherwood's only Community Tree Nursery, for a gentle guided walk through Sherwood Forest. Over 90 minutes, participants learn to identify native broadleaf trees, why they matter for wildlife and landscapes, and how tree seeds are collected for the community nursery, with a chance to gather acorns from oak trees if seeds are available. The walk meets outside the Visitor Centre entrance at 10am and is suitable for all ages, with under-18s accompanied by an adult. Booking is essential due to limited numbers, and the event is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund, Awards for All.
